About VoltShield
Protecting the People Who Keep the Lights On
VoltShield was founded with a simple mission: provide American electrical workers with the highest-quality insulating gloves and safety equipment available. Every lineman climbing a pole, every electrician opening a panel, every utility worker switching a breaker — they all deserve gear they can trust with their lives.
Our Story
VoltShield started when our founders — veterans of the electrical utility industry — saw a gap in the market. Too many crews were using gloves from suppliers who treated safety equipment like a commodity. Testing was inconsistent, lead times were long, and nobody was helping safety managers stay on top of their compliance programs.
We set out to build something different: a supplier that combines premium ASTM D120 certified products with real expertise in electrical safety compliance. Today we serve over 500 utility companies, electrical contractors, and industrial facilities across the United States, delivering the gloves, protectors, and kits their crews depend on every day.
What We Stand For
Safety First, Always
Every product we sell is tested to meet or exceed ASTM D120 and OSHA 1910.137 requirements. We never cut corners on the equipment that stands between a worker and a lethal voltage.
Uncompromising Quality
We source only from manufacturers with proven track records in dielectric testing. Every lot is verified before it ships. Our reject rate is among the lowest in the industry because we inspect like lives depend on it — because they do.
Full Compliance Support
We don't just sell gloves — we help you stay compliant. From 6-month retest scheduling to PPE program consulting, our team helps safety managers build and maintain programs that meet every OSHA and NFPA 70E requirement.
Built for the Field
Our team includes former linemen and safety directors who know what it's like to work hot. We understand the real-world demands of electrical work and design our product selection around what field crews actually need.
